The OTOP (One Town One Product) Holiday Bazaar, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), kicked off on November 25 at the Island City Mall.
Vierna Teresa Ligan, DTI Provincial Director, welcomed guests and exhibitors during the opening program.
She led the ribbon-cutting rites along with Jerome Gabin, also of DTI, Cathy Torremocha, administrator of the Tagbilaran City Government, Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Steven Lim, and representative of ICM.
Provincial Asteria Caberte, representing Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, lauded the DTI for providing a platform for MSMEs to display their wares.
She emphasized that the growth of businesses contributes to the achievement of the province’s strategic change agenda. New design collections, such as souvenirs and Christmas decorations or gifts, anchoring on the province’s designation as a UNESCO Global Geopark are displayed by the BHL Artisans, a provincial government-assisted project.
The OTOP holiday bazaar will run until November 28 at the ICM Activity Center. Aside from the BHL Artisans, exhibitors include the Loon Small Coconut Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Tracy’s Homemade Products/Food Quarantine, Bread Edge Corporation, Bucarez Food Processing Corporation, Bohol Federation Agrarian Reform Cooperatives, Badiang Self Help Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Canjulao League of Women, Tableya Republik and Tubigon Loomweavers Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
Also part of the bazaar are R&G Shells Trading, Mara & Aram Baglines, Jewelynne Fashion Galleries, Sumabal Marketing, Prime of Asia Handicraft, P1 Handicraft, Efflorescence Gift Shop, Alinas Native Products Manufacturing, Crissander Enterprises, Panglao Home Furnishing, Curated Crafts PH, Bamboo Artisano’ng Mag-uuma Bol-anong Lumad (BAMBohoL), BJMP- Tagbilaran City Jail, Bohol District Jail- Female Dormitory, TeAmo Catalina Handicrafts Store and Antequera Tourism Display Center.
