The Local Government Unit of Loon proudly congratulates the successful execution of the Vegetable Production and Management, along with the Concoction Fertilizer Demonstration Training aimed at empowering our local farmers. This initiative, made possible through a fruitful collaboration with Cargill’s RISE COCO Project and our dedicated Municipal Agriculture Office, showcases our commitment to enhancing agricultural practices in our community. By providing farmers with valuable training and resources, we are fostering sustainable farming techniques that not only boost productivity but also promote environmental stewardship. Together, we’re building a brighter future for agriculture in Loon! Thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication towards supporting our local farming community.

Story (from MAO-Loon Source):
The Cargill RISE COCO Project, in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), successfully conducted a Vegetable Production and Management, and Concoction Fertilizer Demonstration Training for local farmers:
* March 10, 2025 – Cantaongon Farmers’ Association
* March 11, 2025 – Candaigan Farmers’ Association
Facilitated by HVCDP Program Coordinator Cathyryn Lugo, Organic Agriculture Focal Person Marilyn Piamonte, and MAO staff John Philip Carnice, the training equipped farmers with essential knowledge on vegetable production and the preparation of Concoction Fertilizer, an organic and cost-effective alternative to improve soil fertility and crop yield.
This initiative provided farmers with an additional source of income beyond coconut farming, promoting sustainability and livelihood diversification.
