Pondol, Loon, Bohol
May 31, 2023 – Loon Municipal Police Station personnel, PSMS Janice G Tano, WCPD PNCO, under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police (OIC), PCPT VICTOR P TAGSA, JR, conducted barangay visitation and symposium/lecture on the all-out awareness and continuous program against gender violence to the youth of Barangay Pondol, Loon, Bohol in coordination with the Barangay Officials headed by the Punong Barangay, Gilbert Sevilla.
Topics discussed were the salient features of the anti-rape law (R.A. 8353), awareness on anti-violence against women and their children (R.A. 9262) and the punishable acts and penalties under the Safe Spaces Act (R.A.11313) to educate the youth on these laws and will help them prevent or the possible commission of such crimes as well as prevent them to be victimized on the same.
The said activity was part of the Loon MPS Best Practice Program dubbed as “Ako’y Molupyo ug Edukadong Loonanon (A.M.E.L.) Program, a brainchild initiative of the former Chief of Police, PCPT AMELITO M MELLORIA, and continued and sustained by the current Chief of Police (OIC), PCT VICTOR P TAGSA, JR which is in line with 5-Focused Agenda of the Chief PNP, PGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, JR and the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030.
