The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VII, in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Loon, through its Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office Municipal Action Team (Pantawid and SLP), facilitated the opening of the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer (MCCT) Stores in seven (7) barangays in the Municipality of Loon on January 8, 2018 at 9:00 in the morning.
The MCCT Store is a Rice Retailing Livelihood Project of the DSWD which selects indigent beneficiares in the barangays for income generation through the provision of rice as start up capital.
The seven barangays, with their number of beneficiaries and sacks of rice as start-up capital are the following: Moto Sur – 17 beneficiares, 85 sacks; Song-on – 15 beneficiares, 75 sacks; Lintuan – 15 beneficiares, 75 sacks; Taytay -8 beneficiares, 40 sack; Pig-ot – 6 beneficiares, 30 sacks; Cogon Norte -5 beneficiares, 25 sacks and Canmanoc – 4 beneficiares, 20 sacks.
Present during the MCCT Store Opening Program in the above-mentioned barangays were Municipal Councilors Lydia A. Almasa and Kristel P. Tecson, chairperson and member of the SB Committee of LGU Economic Enterprises respectively.
