Municipality of Loon Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos revealed that the SIDLAK LOON ARNIS CLUB bagged the Overall Championship in the First Buenavista Invitational Arnis Championship held at the Buenavista Central Elementary School, Buenavista, Bohol on February 8-9, 2025. Out of more than 640 arnis enthusiasts from different arnis clubs in Bohol, the 28 arnis martial artists from Loon hauled an awesome 54 gold, 26 silver, and 8 bronze medals, earning the title of Overall Champion.

The two-day event was organized by the Philippine Eagle Wellness Arts Association Inc. (PEWAA) and supervised by the Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (PEKAF) – Bohol.
Arnis, also known as Kali or Escrima, is the national self defense martial art of the Philippines characterized by the use of sticks, bladed weapons, and bare hands in combat.
